How to make Olive Garden Chicken Pasta in the Crockpot:
- Add chicken breasts to the slow cooker.
- Pour over one 16-ounce jar of Olive Garden Italian Dressing (or any Italian dressing you have on hand.
- Shake over grated parmesan cheese and ground pepper. Add one block of cream cheese.
- Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or low for 5-6.
- Shred the chicken with two forks right in the slow cooker.
- Cook 16 ounces of pasta according to the package directions on the stove-top. I am using penne pasta for this recipe.
- Add the drained pasta to the slow cooker along with the sauce and shredded chicken, stir.
- Sprinkle over more parmesan cheese if desired. I also garnished with a touch of oregano and black pepper.
Can I serve this chicken with something other than pasta?
- Serve over rice.
- Or with steamed vegetables.
Must I use cream cheese?
You can leave it out or add a cup of heavy cream at the end of cooking time is desired. Though the sauce will be thinner.
Does this taste like chicken alfredo?
This Olive Garden Chicken Pasta is thick and creamy like alfredo but has a zesty Italian dressing flavor

Can I use chicken tenderloins? If yes, does it cook faster?
It does cook a little faster but the slow cooker only makes chicken more tender the longer it cooks. You can cut the cooking time by an hour if you want, or not.
This recipe is absolutely amazing! We’ve had it several times and everyone loves it. It’s so simple to throw together and add a salad and garlic bread and your meal is complete. For those that feel the need to make nasty comments, here’s my suggestion. If you’ve changed almost the entire recipe, then it isn’t this recipe at all, and I’d you have nothing positive to say, just leave a comment that it wasn’t something your family cared for. I’ve never understood why people need to say it’s gross or nasty, etc. Dint be a Karen…this world has too many of those in it already!!
For my family, we’ll continue to use this exact recipe and enjoy it every time!!!
Disregarding all the comments above. If you like Italian dressing and cream cheese you’ll like this recipe. Me and my fiancé absolutely loved this!!
I was so scared to make this given the varying reviews. We gave it a try, but I made some changes! I used half the recommended amount of dressing, and added a half cup of half and half at the end. We liked it! Even without the half and half it was good, we just prefer a little more cream. 😉
Way too rich and tangy, and I didn’t even use the whole bottle. It would probably be good if you only used 1/4 of the bottle.
My husband an I love this recipe. Its extremely yummy thank you !
I didn’t change a thing, it was so good!
This was far too oily and rich for our liking.. next time I may try half the amount of dressing and sub with some heavy cream. I made my own Italian dressing instead of the bottles olive garden crap. I will say it is a super easy recipe for busy weekdays. Thanks for sharing!
It’s not crap
To be honest, as written, this recipe is extremely gross. If you adjust by using less dressing, throwing in some half and half, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and red pepper flakes….then it’s okay. But definitely don’t try the recipe as is. You’ll regret it.
It’s not gross at all! And if you changed almost everything about it, it’s not even the same recipe. I’ll never understand why people feel the need to leave nasty comments. If you didn’t care for it, then either don’t say anything at all, or just say it wasn’t something your family cared for. Don’t be a Karen!!
Have made this twice now and it was delicious! My 2 fussy eaters loved this! A fave in my household.
It was great! My whole family loved it!
Disgusting! Smelled horrible while it cooked too. Husband ate a small amount but couldn’t finish it. I apologized to him for making this garbage!
That’s crazy my family loves it but I do it a little different
Well if you do it different….then you’re not actually making this recipe and it would make sense your family would have a different reaction.
What do you do different ? I am making this tomorrow 🙂
Yikes! My husband ate plenty of it. That’s pretty sad that you have to apologize to your husband. Sounds way too picky!
Lol I had to apologize to my husband too for making this meal. I hyped it up way to much and it tasted disgusting.
Calm down KAREN!!!
