Welcome to The Magical Slow Cooker where I share all my favorite slow cooker recipes. I started this recipe site in January 2013. The first recipes that inspired this website are Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs and Slow Cooker Baked Potato Soup.
I really can’t explain what made me start this blog. I do remember realizing that the only thing that would make me jump out of bed were the days I had a new slow cooker meal planned.
I was a mail carrier for ten years, and that job was the main reason I needed slow cooker meals! However, I am now working on recipe development full time, and my love for slow cooking is still there even though I don’t work away from home anymore.
I live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. I make about three or four slow cooker meals a week. On the other days, we either dine out or I make super easy meals.

I love Crock-Pot Brand! It cooks evenly and looks great left out on the counter all year round. I buy most of my crock pots at Target.
It varies, I buy many throughout the year and often give away ones I don’t have room for. I have about 30 crock pots at this very moment.
Yes! I do love oven casseroles, easy skillet meals, and most of all I love takeout. I use my slow cooker about 3-4 nights a week.

The Retro has recipes from retro cookbooks, handwritten recipe cards and my newest creations. My top recipes there are Butterfinger Cookies and Bisquick Cheddar Garlic Biscuits.
