Can I serve this chicken with something other than pasta?

  • Serve over rice.
  • Or with steamed vegetables.

Must I use cream cheese?

You can leave it out or add a cup of heavy cream at the end of cooking time is desired. Though the sauce will be thinner.

Does this taste like chicken alfredo?

This Olive Garden Chicken Pasta is thick and creamy like alfredo but has a zesty Italian dressing flavor

Th only thing we don’t like about this recipe is its too greasy. Other than that, it’s really good. What can I do to make it not so greasy?

This was way too salty and greasy. My husband and I did not like this and we love Olive Garden. This tasted nothing like what theirs taste like.

I thought it was very good! I only used 3/4 of the bottle of dressing since about half the comments say it’s too strong. It was perfect for our household. I also used spaghetti noodles instead of penne.

Can I use frozen chicken on high 4 hrs?

    1. Mickey says:

No but you could use the Instant pot recipe w frozen chicken breasts.

  5. Kim says:

Can I add raw shrimp to this, or should I boil it first and add with the pasta?

    1. Sarah Olson says:

I think you can add it to the chicken near the end of the cooking time.

Great recipe! I used chicken thighs & cut back a little bit on the Olive Garden dressing—threw in a splash of low sodium broth I had in my fridge & about 1/2 cup of pasta water once the pasta was done. If you don’t like salty food then use less dressing—it’s not rocket science. We used fusilli pasta & served with steamed broccoli. Yummy! Such an easy dinner.

Horrible! I always read reviews before trying new recipes and I completely forgot to with this one! I had to throw out the whole thing. Complete waste of money. It took a long time to get the taste out of my mouth.

Agree. This is awful and tastes nothing like OG. Now im stuck with an entire crockpot of this nasty mess. Im slowly giving it ti the dog. What a disappointment.

I should have known we wouldn’t like this, not fans of Olive Garden food. Don’t waste your time and money on this unless you like Olive Garden. Really didn’t like the flavor profile of the dressing, ended up throwing it out. Ugnh.

I’m not sure why there are so many “bad” reviews. I follow the recipe as is and I think it tastes pretty good. It’s not exactly the healthiest recipe so I only make it occasionally but have made it a few times and I’m a fan.

    1. Anonymous says:

I made it more than a few times and my family likes it. And matter fact I’m making it for dinner tonight. And I follow the recipe as it saids on here. It’s delicious to me and my family
