Can I serve this chicken with something other than pasta?

  • Serve over rice.
  • Or with steamed vegetables.

Must I use cream cheese?

You can leave it out or add a cup of heavy cream at the end of cooking time is desired. Though the sauce will be thinner.

Does this taste like chicken alfredo?

This Olive Garden Chicken Pasta is thick and creamy like alfredo but has a zesty Italian dressing flavor

    Can this be doubled?

    1. Sarah Olson says:

It most likely won’t fit in a 6-quart slow cooker.

    2. Chris says:

I just doubled it. After the reviews I hope it’s good lol

Absolutely love it! I do like a strong flavor of Italian dressing but if you do not I would suggest using 8oz of Olive Garden dressing and 8oz of a lighter Italian. Tonight is the 2nd time I have cooked this meal.

I finally made it today ~ super easy and was really good . Had a salad and fresh Italian bread .

    1. Susan says:

I plan on making this tonight for dinner! I’ll use many of the suggestions here, like 1/2 the dressing, add heavy cream or cream of chicken soup, and more cheese! I’m also using cut up rotisserie chicken…easier and more tasty than regular chicken breasts! A salad and garlic bread seem like a good choice for sides! I’ll let you know how it comes out!

This meal was a hit with my husband, but when I make it again, I won’t use 16 ounces of just the Italian dressing; it’s so overpowering and tangy. It needs to be toned down with maybe half of their Italian dressing with half…..something else? It was super easy and cheap to make and it makes the house smell delicious. I just expected something slightly different.

    1. Faylynn says:

Maybe try putting half dressing and half cream of chicken soup? I think thats what i will try

Holy shit! This is just plain awful! Just drink Italian dressing straight from the bottle and you’ll be better off. I tried everything I could to cut the strong taste of the Italian dressing and that’s all I could taste no matter what I did. Please do not do this Recipe!

I had this same problem tonight. The dressing way very overpowering and super tangy. I even added extra cream cheese to help neutralize it but that did not work. An hour later and I still have that taste in my mouth.

Won’t be making this again! I even added peas, grated cheese to try to take the strong taste away, but didn’t work. I love Italian dressing but boy was it salty and strong.

So wanted to try this because it sounded so good and then I read the comment. Think I might still try it

I’ve got it in the crockpot right now and was worried about these reviews. I gave it a taste and I thought it was fine. I wonder if people didn’t have enough chicken or maybe grabbed larger bottles of dressing? I haven’t added the pasta yet but I think it will taste good. Waiting to review until I’ve tried the completed dish. I will say I probably won’t add the second set of Parmesan cheese. I’ll taste w pasta and see how I like it before adding.

This was so disgusting i had to throw the whole pot away. The dressing is SOO strong & overpowering. I really wanted to like it! No one in my house liked it.
