Can I serve this chicken with something other than pasta?

  • Serve over rice.
  • Or with steamed vegetables.

Must I use cream cheese?

You can leave it out or add a cup of heavy cream at the end of cooking time is desired. Though the sauce will be thinner.

Does this taste like chicken alfredo?

This Olive Garden Chicken Pasta is thick and creamy like alfredo but has a zesty Italian dressing flavor

So good! The Italian dressing flavor was strong — I liked it but the hubs said it was too much. He liked it though, so I made it again with 1.5 cups dressing and 0.5 cups chicken broth. It was PERFECT. So good. The husband and baby (14mo) loved it. It’s in the crockpot again tonight.

I agree – I cut the amount of dressing. I used a 3rd of a bottle and it was a perfect amount. It was easy and delicious. I used Radioatori pasta… will definitely make it again!

Everyone in my house loves it aside from my husband who is not a cream cheese fan. It is definitely a unique flavor so I understand the mixed reviews, really just depends on your tastes, but me and my kids love it

It was horrible. The salad dressing was way too vinegary and overpowered the other flavors. We even tried to eat leftovers by adding a can of mushrooms soup, it didn’t help. We are not picky eaters and enjoy seasoned and spicy food. But this was overwhelming.

OMGEE BEST PASTA RECIPE I HAVE EVER MADE!! i did the 56- on LOW…. used bow tie pasta… the TASTE is fantastic!!! My husband loved it – i loved it…

  5. Katy says:

Was excited to try this recipe but incredibly disappointed. I don’t consider my family to be picky eaters at all but this tasted awful! We suffered through one helping then I threw out the rest along with the recipe. A huge waste of ingredients.

Made this today. It was yummy next time I wont add the parm chz while cooking the chicken but still awesome

  7. Robert Gibson says:

Very dry! I had to add more sauce. I didn’t have alfredo, so I added red. I think 16oz of penne is too much. Either half the pasta, or double the salad dressing and cream cheese.

  8. Bree says:

Can I add mushrooms to the recipe?

    1. Sarah Olson says:

      Yes, that will work great.

      1. Leslie says:

Can I just add the mushrooms at the beginning and they will be ok for 4 hours?

      2. Sarah Olson says:

Mushrooms at the beginning will do fine.

  9. Kim says:

I am making this dish for the first time today, having just put all the ingredients in my slow cooker. Since I had five chicken breasts and two bottles of Italian dressing that needed used, I doubled the recipe. I misread the recipe and used shredded Parmesan cheese instead of the grated kind. Hopefully, everything turns out fine with this dish.

    1. Kimber says:

How did it turn out with shredded cheese?

  10. Melinda says:

I made this last month and everyone kept raving about how delicious it was. I took some for my sister to try the next day. I think her comment does justice to this awesome meal. “Oh my God sis! They should call it crack chichen”. She couldn’t stop eating it.
Guess what’s for dinner tonight? Already in the crockpot…
