Sarah’s Tip and Variations

Swap the Meat: Ground chicken or turkey can be used instead—just brown, crumble, and drain before adding.

Soup Options: Use two cans of any creamy condensed soup—try mushroom, bacon, celery, onion, nacho cheese, or broccoli cheese.

Veggies: Add a few cups of vegetables such as frozen mixed vegetables, green beans or even broccoli.

Hi, I apologize for contacting you again for a measurement on how much raw diced chicken. I was looking for a response in my email not in the comments. Thank you for helping me with that, I look forward to making this recipe tomorrow.

Hi this is Jami Kerston. I apologize for getting on touch with you again but I have not received an email response from you. The recipe for slow cooker tater tot, chicken, bacon cheese says dice 2 whole chicken breasts. The way a chicken breast is sold in grocery store separates the 2 halves of the breast. 2 whole chicken breasts are 4 large pieces of chicken. That’s about 6 cups? Did you possibly mean 1 whole breast diced which is about 3 cups? You also say 1.5 lbs of breast. I don’t have a kitchen food scale to measure 1.5 lbs. Could you list it in how many cups of diced chicken?

    1. Sarah Olson says:

I replied below, it doesnโ€™t need to be exact at all. I would say 3-4 cups diced would work fine.

Hello, I have a question about the slow cooker tatertot, chicken, bacon recipe. You list in the ingredients 2 chicken breasts diced. Chicken breasts are butchered sold in 2 pieces, chicken breast halves. Does your recipe call for 2 whole breasts, 4 pieces or 1 breast, 2 pieces? Thank you for letting me know, I’m looking forward to making this recipe.

    1. Sarah Olson says:

It just needs to be about 1.5 lbs. doesnt need to be exact.

  4. Ginny says:

How much broccoli can you add to this recipe and what layer would be best for it?

    1. Sarah Olson says:

I would add 2 cups over the chicken.
