Can I serve this chicken with something other than pasta?

  • Serve over rice.
  • Or with steamed vegetables.

Must I use cream cheese?

You can leave it out or add a cup of heavy cream at the end of cooking time is desired. Though the sauce will be thinner.

Made just as directed. Tasted too salty, was very thick, wonโ€™t be making again.

I made this with a few adjustments. I added a bunch of seasonings: garlic powder, ranch seasoning, seasoning salt, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, etc. It needed the extra seasoning. I wish I wouldโ€™ve seared the chicken prior to putting in the slow cooker for more depth of flavor. I also added some shredded mozzarella cheese to thicken it all at the end before adding the noodles. Overall I like this recipe, but it needs some extra flavor additions in my opinion.

Chicken breasts soaked up a lot of the liquid and got pretty mushy after 3 hours. The sauce is very strong if using Olive Garden Dressing. I strained the chicken out and added half and half to the liquid and it was realkt good. I didnt like that the chicken was so mushy, I would cook seperately and then slice or cube it into the sauce.

I used 2#s of chicken and followed the recipe as described. I served it with garlic bread but a salad would have been good. It’s a little strong but it’s very good. I wonder if I really need cream cheese. Has anyone skipped the cream cheese?

I enjoyed this. I was hesitant to try because of the mixed reviews. To be on the safe side, I only used half of the Italian dressing. I also threw in some chopped zucchini, added some chicken broth and a bit of heavy cream based on the other reviews I read. It turned out pretty delicious to me, was excited to eat the leftovers the next day.
