Why You’ll Love This Pulled Pork Recipe
For this recipe, I whipped up a homemade-ish barbecue sauce mixture that features bourbon, smoked paprika, apple cider vinegar, and a few other seasonings and spices. I wait until the end of the cook time to add the bacon to help maintain the flavor while adding the perfect finishing touch. This is a dish the whole family is sure to enjoy! Recipe Ingredients
- Boneless Pork Shoulder: I recommend a 2-3 pound boneless pork shoulder to yield plenty of servings.
- BBQ Sauce Mixture: Barbecue sauce, bourbon, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, smoked paprika, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and brown sugar.
- Bacon: Cooked and crumbled.
Step-by-Step Directions
Step One – Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker. Combine all the remaining ingredients except the bacon and pour over the roast.
Step Two: Cover and cook on HIGH for 6 hours or LOW for 8 hours. When the roast can easily be pulled apart with two forks, shred the meat and return it to the pan with the sauce.
Step Three – Add the bacon and cook for another 30 minutes.
Step Four – Give the pulled pork a good stir. Serve and enjoy!
How to Serve

Make it a complete meal by adding a side salad, coleslaw, potato salad, or bacon-flavored green beans (try my slow cooker green beans and bacon).

I am planning on making this. I only have country back pork ribs in the freezer. Can I use those. They are boneless?
Yes, I do think that will work well.
