We love easy pasta dishes for the crockpot! Try my Baked Spaghetti, Feta and Tomato Pasta, or Beef Stroganoff recipes too!

I found this recipe in my Facebook group and had to try it out! You can make this Olive Garden Chicken with or without the pasta! Serve over rice or just with green steamed vegetables.

How to make Olive Garden Chicken Pasta in the Crockpot:
- Add chicken breasts to the slow cooker.
- Pour over one 16-ounce jar of Olive Garden Italian Dressing (or any Italian dressing you have on hand.
- Shake over grated parmesan cheese and ground pepper. Add one block of cream cheese.

- Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or low for 5-6.
- Shred the chicken with two forks right in the slow cooker.
- Cook 16 ounces of pasta according to the package directions on the stove-top. I am using penne pasta for this recipe.

- Add the drained pasta to the slow cooker along with the sauce and shredded chicken, stir.
- Sprinkle over more parmesan cheese if desired. I also garnished with a touch of oregano and black pepper.

Can I serve this chicken with something other than pasta?
- Serve over rice.
- Or with steamed vegetables.
Must I use cream cheese?
You can leave it out or add a cup of heavy cream at the end of cooking time is desired. Though the sauce will be thinner.
Does this taste like chicken alfredo?
This Olive Garden Chicken Pasta is thick and creamy like alfredo but has a zesty Italian dressing flavor

My daughter cooked this last night but added heavy whipping cream to it along with parmesan cheese , garlicpowder, pepper! She used chicken tenders instead of chicken breast to shred up. It turned out good. We were hungry and ready to eat dinner. I do recommend if u like it using all more cream and dressing. It does seem to get dried out. Turn to warm. It does give the pasta a sweet taste. Not everyone will enjoy this pasta. I wouldn’t use OG Italian dressing again. I just didn’t like it as much. It’s good but not the best. We baked some garlic bread with it and forgot to make ourselves a but we did have some carrots and Broccoli with ranch dip. Some comments are just plain rude.
My family loves this dish, but I only use 1/2 the bottle of dressing. Perfect!
Your comment helped us a lot. Thanks
My family requests this all the time. It is fav in our home. Have made it any 5-6x now.
This is HORRIBLE!! I wish I could give it negative stars! So bad we didn’t even give it to the dog! Don’t waist your time or money! I have no idea how this has almost 5 stars! Yuck
Tina,
What made this dish so horrible? I’m all for constructive criticism, but negative comments with no feedback on how you came to this conclusion, or an attempt to explain how you cooked it, maybe you missed a step or prepared it wrong entirely. I hope you don’t feed your dog rich people food such as this dish, because they’re either overweight or in bad health due to poor diet. No reason to drag your poor dog into this mess.
You gave it 4 stars
Why did you give it 4 stars if it’s so horrible?
Try plugging in the crockpot next time
My family of picky eaters all loved this meal! Thank you for sharing!
Fabulous dinner… so easy and tasty!!
I am laughing at all the comments that say it is inedible! I am not sure what people are expecting. I’ve made this dish 4 or 5 times since discovering it and it always hits the spot for me. My husband doesn’t like it as much as I do but it is because he’s not the biggest fan of “creamy” things and this is definitely a creamy/heavy dish despite how tangy it is.
My only tweaks:
I wait to add the cream cheese until 30-mins to an hour before serving, because I don’t like the idea of cream cheese being hot for hours and hours. I use real parmesan instead of the bottled stuff, which I also add at the end instead of the beginning. And I always add or serve with a green veggie; sometimes that is adding spinach directly to the dish or serving a roasted broccoli on the side.
I’m glad I read the comments while cooking this. I added 1 cup of chicken stock and some heavy splashes of half and half (let’s say 1/4 cup) and also a teaspoon of Better Than Bouillon roasted chicken. I think this vastly improved the taste. Not sure I will make it again but I did enjoy what I made.
I did not find this to be edible! If there was a zero option, I would give it a 0!!! Don’t waste your time or money making this as you will be disappointed!
We substituted a different Italian Dressing (as suggested was an option in the recipe). Thought this was my first time making this recipe, I know this is not how it was supposed to taste. It was hardly edible; a sweet and tangy taste.
