Easiest dinner ever! Slow cooker teriyaki beef takes just minutes to add to the slow cooker.
We love quick and easy Asain-inspired recipes for the slow cooker. It’s cheaper and healthier than take-out. My other favorites are Slow Cooker Pepper Steak, Black Pepper Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, or Teriyaki Chicken.
We love a simple meal to throw in the slow cooker when I just don’t even have time to think about meal planning. This recipe also is great for make-ahead freezer meals.
How to make Easy Teriyaki Beef in the Crockpot:
- Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki – This teriyaki has an authentic taste and isn’t sticky and gloppy like others.
- Beef Stew Meat – You can find this already cut up at the store or you can cut a beef roast into cubes yourself
- Diced white onion – This adds more flavor to the dish and makes the house smell great while cooking.
How long do I cook teriyaki beef?
- Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 6 hours.
- Serve and enjoy!
How can I make this a freezer meal?
- This recipe can be put directly in the slow cooker or into ziplock bags and frozen for later in the month. (Can go longer but risk freezer burn flavors)
- Thaw in the fridge the day before you want to cook it. Pour contents into the slow cooker and cook as directed in my recipe card below.
Can I use a different cut of beef?
Yes, you can use these cuts of beef instead of beef stew meat if desired.
- Flank steak – no need to cube up. Put in whole and shred after the cooking time is up.
- Chuck roast or any other beef roast – Cut into 1-inch cubes
- Steak – Sometimes I have leftover steaks from a value pack and those work great cubed up in this recipe.
- Ground beef – if you only have ground beef you can definitely use it with this recipe. Brown, crumble and drain before continuing with the recipe.

Yummy!!!! I can’t eat food with tiny seeds or nuts, so I used Mr. Yoshida Sauce and 1/4 cup sherry.

Made this for the first time and it was deeelicious! Wife gave it 5 thumbs up! This is going on my favorite recipe list. The only thing I did differently was I browned the beef lightly before adding to the slow cooker. It added some additional flavor to the beef. Served with long grain white rice and steamed green beans. No leftovers here!

You really can use any teriyaki! Just keep on eye on it for some can burn on the edges.

Amazon carries it.

Made this last night with the following
4lb beef chuck roast
1 cup Lawry’s teriyaki marinade (made with pineapple juice)
8 oz crushed pineapple
8 shakes of smoke
cooked low for 8 hours.
Served beef by itself (no noodles/rice) tossed out liquid leftovers
Due to the notes above of salt, that is why i choose to reduce the pineapple and marinade.
result- delicious & was asked to make again
Came out perfect, with requests for future showings in the dinner menu.

Could I do this in an instapot?
Sarah Olson says
I don’t see why not! There is plenty of liquid to work well.

This was absolutely delicious! I couldn’t believe how easy it was. Only 3 ingredients, but such tender and tasty results!! I cut up 2 pounds of chuck roast. Served it over brown rice with broccoli on the side. I shared the recipe with my mom and she prepared it for company the next day. She was also very pleased. Definitely a keeper. Thank you for sharing it Sarah 🙂

I made this for dinner tonight. It was good. I served it with rice and broccoli. For the meat I cubed a boneless pot roast. The meat was tender. It was an easy meal. Thanks for the recipe.

I’ve tried this recipe with beef and it came out really good. Can I use chicken with the same ingredients?

If I use only 1lb of beef would I cook it only for 2 hours?
