Store any remaining pork chops and sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently to maintain the flavors.

You can prepare the sauce and marinate the pork chops a day ahead, storing them separately in the refrigerator. Combine and cook when ready to serve.

Sarah’s Notes

Do I have to use this sauce or can I use store-bought?
You could use a store-bought BBQ sauce here instead. Just replace all of the ingredients for the sauce with 4 or so cups of store-bought sauce. This homemade one is super easy, though, and I swear it’s worth it.
Can I make this ahead of time and freeze it?
Absolutely! Make the sauce and add it to a large freezer bag with the uncooked pork. Store it in the freezer for up to 3 months. Allow the pork to thaw in the fridge before layering it into the slow cooker with the sauce. Cook as you normally would.
