This Slow Cooker Christmas Casserole is the perfect solution for a cozy holiday gathering. It combines all the classic holiday flavors into one comforting dish. My perfected recipe is full of layered goodness and makes holiday entertaining a cinch.
You may also like my Slow Cooker Thanksgiving Casserole, which has chicken breasts (or turkey). Both are amazing recipes!

Key Ingredients
Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes: create a hearty, creamy base
Ham: adds savory flavor and protein
Stuffing Mix: brings holiday flavor and texture
Green Beans: a veggie layer for balance and color
Cream Soups: bind everything together in a rich sauce
Sharp Cheddar Cheese: melts into a gooey, cheesy topping
French Fried Onions: give a crispy, festive finish
How to Make Christmas Casserole

- Prep the potatoes and layer them in the bottom with milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
- Add the ham on top.
- Spread the soup over everything to start building the layers.

- Add the stuffing mix followed by slices of butter.
- Layer in the green beans.
- Top with the second soup and finish with cheese.

- Finish with the cheese on top.
- Cover and let it cook until hot and bubbly.
- Add the onions right before serving. (see full recipe in the recipe card)

Variations
- It’s not recommended to stray from the recipe much for the liquid amounts are just right for the amount of ingredients and cooking time.
- Dried cranberries are a great addition to add even more Christmas flavor. Another great topping is sliced almonds.
- Don’t like sweet potatoes? Just add the same amount of potatoes.
- Can I use chicken or turkey instead of ham? Yes, but use my Slow Cooker Thanksgiving Casserole for a more complete recipe.

How to Serve Christmas Casserole
This is complete meal as is though we do love to add a dollop of cranberry sauce (try my slow cooker cranberry sauce).
If you want more protein, serve this entire casserole along with slow cooker turkey breast.
For Desserts, try my slow cooker pumpkin pie, or slow cooker pecan pie.
