Slow Cooker Christmas Casserole is a complete meal in one dish, featuring tender potatoes, savory ham, crisp green beans, flavorful stuffing, and melted cheese, all topped with crispy fried onions for a satisfying holiday feast.
1 ½lbs.red garnet sweet potatoespeeled and diced SMALL
⅔cupmilk
½cupbuttersliced
1tsp.salt
¼tsp.pepper
Next Layers (in order)
3cupscubed ham
10.5oz.can cream of celery soup
6oz.savory flavor stove top stuffing(or chicken flavor)
½cupsalted buttersliced
1lb.frozen green beans(or fresh trimmed green beans)
10.5oz.can cream of chicken soup
8oz.shredded sharp cheese(freshly shredded if possible)
1cuptoasted French fried onions(ADD AT THE END)
For Serving

Instructions
Spray slow cooker with non-stick spray.
Peel and cube the potatoes and sweet potatoes into small pieces. Add them to the slow cooker and pour the milk over, place the butter slices on top of the potatoes. Sprinkle with the allotted salt and pepper.
Add the cubed ham on top of the potato layer.
Next in order add these layers (spread each layer out evenly over the next): cream of celery soup, stuffing mix, sliced butter, green beans, cream of chicken soup, then the sharp cheddar cheese.
Cover the slow cooker with its lid and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours. Cooking time will vary depending on your actual appliance but the edges should have begun to brown, the top bubbling.
Once done, sprinkle the French fried onions over the top. Serve and enjoy.

To toast the french fried onions, you can do this in a dry skillet over medium high heat, or in the oven under the broiler for just a few minutes (I do this in a pie tin).
