Are you ready for game day? This delicious and easy Chili Cheese Dip It has everything you love about chili queso dip with added bacon and green chiles to make it even better.

Slow Cooker Chili Cheese Dip

As you may know, I do not watch football, but I do love to make the food for the game.

I’ve seen the commercials in the past that heat up this style of dip in the microwave. I prefer to keep the dip hot the entire game, and that’s why the crockpot is the way to go for me.

Sour cream, chlies, bacon, cans of chili, and Velveeta in front of slow cooker.

How to make Chili Cheese Dip:

You will need:

  • Velveeta – 2 pounds
  • Chili – 2 can (I use Hormel)
  • Sour cream – 16 oz. container
  • Fire-roasted green chiles – 7 oz. can
  • Bacon – 6 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)

Directions:

  • Add everything to the slow cooker.
  • Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 2.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.

Should I use chili with or without beans?

Either works great for thinning out the Velveeta, use what you like best. I prefer chili with beans.

Can I use homemade chili in Chili Cheese Dip

  • You can use any chili in this recipe and will turn out great.
  • I use leftover Slow Cooker Chuckwagon Chili often for my chili cheese dip.
  • Use 4 cups of homemade chili instead of canned.

I just made this recipe it was so delicious. I have a question though. I should have cut the recipe in half seeing as I made this for only my boyfriend and myself. Can the left overs be frozen?
