Brats, onions, peppers and garlic simmered in the slow cooker along with beer. Great for gameday or a lazy Sunday.

These beer brats tasted great! I love how the house smells when I add beer to the crock pot. When the guests arrive they get choose when they want to eat since the slow cooker keeps these brats nice and warm during the game. Did you notice I used bell peppers in the colors of our team?

How to make Slow Cooker Beer Brats:
- Add bell peppers, onion, garlic
and black pepper to the bottom of the slow cooker - In a skillet set to medium-high heat, add oil. Brown the brats.
- Add the brats on top of the peppers and onions.

- Add a can of your favorite beer. I used Budweiser, that’s my husband’s favorite. He is not a microbrew person.
- Place the lid on the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 3 hours. Serve on buns with desired toppings such as mustard.

Look how good these guys look! I could hardly wait to get one on a bun with mustard!

What can I use instead of beer?
- 15 oz. can chicken broth
- Add extra garlic to enhance the flavor.
