If you are looking for kielbasa dinner recipes, look no further. My newest creation is this complete kielbasa dinner, with simple ingredients, but it has a kick of southern flavor. Let the slow cooker do the work, so you can get other things done.

Key Ingredients

Kielbasa: You can find these near the bacon at the store – they come in rings and usually called polska kielbasa.

Vegetables: Cubed red potatoes and trimmed green beans add color and heartiness.

Sauce: Just butter, honey mustard, and Cajun seasoning – a perfect sauce for everything in the pot.

How to Make Kielbasa Dinner

  1. Layer the potatoes, kielbasa, and green beans in the crockpot.
  2. Top with honey mustard, butter, and Cajun seasoning.
  3. Cook until the potatoes are tender and everything is coated in that buttery sauce.

Variations & Tips

Meat Swap: Use any variety of link sausage, such as summer sausage or andouille.

Veggie Change: Use carrots instead of green beans and sweet potatoes instead of red potatoes.

Less Spicy: Use a ranch packet instead of Cajun seasoning.

What to Serve with this?

Thankfully, so many slow cooker meals are complete meals! You can come home and simply serve this up. If you need to feed more people, add a dinner salad and garlic bread.

Does this need to be stirred while cooking?

No! You can set this kielbasa dinner and forget about it. Let each person choose how much of each item they want on their plate when ready to serve.

How to Store this?

Place in the fridge for up to four days or freeze for up to three months. The texture of the potatoes may change after being frozen and then thawed.

  • 28 oz. Kielbasa, (2 rings) sliced about 1.5 inches thick
  • 1 lb. red potatoes, cubed about a inch thick
  • 1 lb. green beans, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard, I use Beaver brand
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1 Tbsp. Cajun Seasoning (or Creole), I like Tony's or Southern Flavor

Instructions

  • Add the cut potatoes to one side of the slow cooker.
  • Then add the sliced kielbasa to the middle of the slow cooker.
  • Next, add the trimmed green beans to the other side.
  • Drizzle over the honey mustard, you can eyeball the amount, it doesn't need to be exact.
  • Cut the butter into small cubes and place half on the potatoes and half on the green beans.
  • Lastly, sprinkle over the cajun seasoning. Feel free to use more to your tastes.
  • Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 5 hours or until the potatoes are tender.
