Love eggnog? Make this big batch of Slow Cooker Eggnog Lattes for your next holiday party.

My inspiration for this recipe came after I made my Slow Cooker Pumpkin Spice Lattes; check out that recipe, too!

The most common potluck beverage we make is slow cooker hot chocolate. But why not mix it up?! This egg nog-flavored coffee gets the party started, especially for a breakfast party or brunch.

You don’t need a fancy espresso machine for this! Just a pot of strongly brewed coffee.

Recipe Ingredients

ingredients for egg nog latte in front of slow cooker
  • Egg Nog – I use a half gallon (or a carton that is 59-64 ounces)
  • Freshly brewed coffee – don’t use old stale coffee, make a fresh pot. I use Starbuck’s Pike Place coffee. Or use ground espresso if you have it.
  • Other flavorings – Vanilla extract, ground nutmeg and ground cinnamon.

Variations

  • If your store carries pumpkin-flavored egg nog, that works great in this recipe.
  • Pumpkin spice seasoning mix can be used instead of the individual seasonings.

Step-by-Step Directions

  1. Place the eggnog, brewed coffee, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon into the slow cooker, stir well.
  2. Cover, and cook on HIGH for 1-1 1/2 hours until heated.
  3. Serve with whipped cream, cinnamon sticks, and nutmeg for garnish.

Does this recipe need sugar?

  • These Slow Cooker Eggnog Lattes don’t need any extra sweetener.
  • Egg nog is very high in sugar content.
  • If you taste the egg nog latte mixture and it’s too sweet, simply add more coffee.

How to serve lattes out of a slow cooker:

  • Use a ladle to scoop out the latte mixture.
  • Serve in Christmas mugs.
  • Top with whipped cream (store-bought or homemade!) Try egg nog whipped cream for more eggnog flavor.
  • Add a cinnamon stick for garnish.
  • Sprinkle the whipped cream with nutmeg.

I make this every year. People who love it, LOVE IT, Not everyone is a fan, most likely for its calorie or fat content, so they must be choosing to eat cookies instead. Thanks for a winner in my book!

This sounds so delicious, Sarah! I am obsessed with eggnog. In fact, my grocery store didn’t have any small containers (we have to buy small containers for portion control!) yesterday so we had to stop at a different grocery store because I HAD to have eggnog! I am going to have to make this.
