shredded mozzarella cheese

pepperoni

freshly grated parmesan cheese
basil for garnish

French bread or bread sticks or crackers

Instructions
Pour the sour cream, ricotta cheese, and Italian seasoning into the slow cooker and stir, then fold in a cup of mozzarella cheese.
Top with the pepperoni slices and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Set it on high for 1 1/2 hours. Sprinkle with the parmesan cheese and place the lid on for another 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve with toasted French bread or crackers.
Notes
This is best made in a small 2 quart crockpot. If using a larger crockpot, you may wish to double the recipe.
For an even creamier dip, use cream cheese instead of the ricotta cheese.
Use freshly grated mozzarella, not pre-shredded.
This is best made in a small crockpot, or you can double the recipe and use a regular-sized crockpot.
