sliced bacon
(cook and crumble for best results)

Pork n Beans
(two-28 oz. cans)

can Dr. Pepper

barbecue sauce
I use sweet baby rays

sweet yellow onion

Instructions
Add the bacon, diced onion, pork and beans (do not drain), Dr Pepper, barbecue sauce, and yellow mustard to the slow cooker.
Stir until combined well.
Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours.
Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours, or until the beans are thickened and bubbling.
Notes
Other sodas:
You can use root beer, coca-cola, or ginger ale instead of Dr. Pepper. You can even use Diet Dr. Pepper.
