The magical slow cooker
01 2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts
02 1 1/2 tsp. sea salt
03 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
04 1 tsp. oregano
05 3 cloves garlic
06 1/4 cup shallot
01 1 white onion
02 2 cups mushrooms
03 6 slices bacon
04 1/2 cup Marsala wine
05 1 1/4 cup beef broth
06 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
Add the chicken breasts to the slow cooker. Sprinkle over the salt, pepper, and oregano. Add the garlic, shallot, onion and mushrooms over the chicken.
Sprinkle over the bacon. Pour over the Marsala wine and beef broth. Place the lid on the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 6-8.
When the cooking time is done. Add the heavy cream and mix it into the broth. Cook on HIGH for 30 minutes more
Serve and enjoy! I serve half of a chicken breast for a serving. Alternately you can shred the chicken before serving.
