This Crockpot Sunday Funday Dip is loaded with seasoned taco beef, cream cheese, salsa, and melty cheddar for a warm, layered dip that’s made to impress any crowd.
In a large skillet set over medium high heat, add the ground beef. Cook and crumble until brown. Drain off fat.
Add the taco seasoning packets and the amount of water your packets call for (mine was 3/4 cup for each packet).
Simmer the taco meat until the sauce is thickened. Set aside.
Spread the softened cream cheese to the bottom of the slow cooker and spread smooth.
Add the taco meat next, then add the salsa over the meat.
Sprinkle over the cheese.
Cook on HIGH For about 1 1/2 hours or until bubbly.
Serve with chips and enjoy!

Be sure to let the ground beef and sauce thicken well before adding to the slow cooker.
If you use freshly shredded cheese off the block, it will melt better
Switch the slow cooker to the warm setting for serving at your party.
Store in the fridge for up to four days or in the freeze for up to three months.
Variations
Use fajita seasoning for more a kick of lime flavor.
Chive cream cheese can be used instead of standard cream cheese.
Ground chicken or turkey can be used but the flavor won't be as decadent.
