Chicken thighs and broccoli florets are submerged in a homemade sauce made with soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ginger paste, and a few other popular seasonings for a quick and delicious one-pot meal.
Combine sauce the ingredients in a large bowl, add the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, ginger paste, honey, onion powder, and barbeque sauce. Give it all a stir.
Slow cook. Put the chicken in a 6-8 quart crockpot, pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, put the lid on the crockpot and cook on high for 3 hours.
Add the cornstarch slurry. Whisk together the cornstarch and water and stir it into the contents of the crockpot.
Stir the broccoli into the crock pot, close the crockpot, and cook on high for 1 hour or until the broccoli has softened.
Serve warm over rice garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
