16 oz. penne pastacooked according to package directions
1cupsour cream
16oz.cooked and crumbled bacon(divided)
8oz.shredded sharp cheese(divided)
1bunch green onion, sliced(divided)
Instructions
Add the chicken to the slow cooker. Sprinkle over the ranch packet. Add the 2 blocks of cream cheese on top, and then pour over the chicken broth.
Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours.
When the cooking time is near up, cook the pasta on the stove top according to package directions. I like to cook a touch more than al dente.
Shred the chicken with 2 forks right in the slow cooker. Add the cooked and drained pasta, the sour cream, HALF the cheese, HALF the green onion, and HALF of the bacon. Stir and then smooth out the pasta for the toppings.
Add the remaining cheese, bacon, and green onion. Replace the lid and let it sit for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
Serve and enjoy!

Notes
Once this dish is done (the pasta and other items added). Turn off the slow cooker - the pasta will over cook if the slow cooker is left on.Don't skip the sour cream, it makes the sauce thinner (and just right), for stirring in the pasta.Shred your own cheese if you want the cheese extra silky and melty.
