Why This Buffalo Chicken Chili Recipe Works
Slow cooking ground chicken in buffalo flavors and turning it all into a chili is a flavor that can’t be beat. The crock pot method allows all the flavors to cook together beautifully while you go about your day, making it a perfect option for busy cooks.
I also like how versatile this chili can be. My family likes to enjoy it in a bowl as is and sometimes spooned over nachos. There’s so much you can do with it. This is sure to become a family favorite. Another chili we love to make is Slow Cooker White Chicken Chili.
Recipe Ingredients
- Ground Chicken: This will be cooked before adding it to your slow cooker.
- Veggies: Diced yellow onion, green bell pepper, and a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes add heartiness and flavor.
- Beans: Cannellini beans add even more heartiness.
- Cream Cheese: I like to use chive and onion cream cheese to add a hint of onion flavor to the chili.
- Hot Sauce: Frank’s red hot is my preference but you can use whatever brand you prefer. This is the same sauce we use in slow cooker buffalo wings.
- Chicken Broth: Helps create the soup base.
- Seasonings: Garlic powder, salt, and pepper are all you need for this recipe. (Find the full recipe in the recipe card below the photos).

Can I cook this on high? How long!
I would do 4 hours on high.
Seriously? A cup of hot sauce? Just want to make sure….
It is a lot, you can start with much less and add more later if you want. The cream cheese tones it down.
