These Christmas Potpourri Gift Bags are such a great gift! They are pretty easy to make, and it’s such a great change from cookies or candies! I have included the free printable for these gift bags. Each bag has 2 dried orange slices, 1 dried lemon slice, 4 cinnamon sticks, 1 tablespoon of cloves, and a sprig of pine (from the trimmings of our christmas tree).
This potpourri smells amazing, you keep adding water to it, and it lasts about a week (turning it on for a few hours a day). For my labels, I included slow cooker, and stove top directions. Please do not leave an uncovered slow cooker, or the stove top unattended, I do not want anyone burning their house down! Treat this potpourri like you would a candle, don’t leave the house or go to bed with it on!
I started these Christmas Potpourri Gift Bags by drying the oranges and lemons in my oven. Here’s the resource I followed to dry my oranges and lemons.
Then print out your labels, you can make your own, or use the label I created, I printed it them in 5×7 format, then cut the labels to the size of my bags. The clear bags I used are 4.75 inches across.
Get your ingredients ready, and start stuffing your bags, put the folded label over the bag, and staple on the edges.
The finished product! The entire recipe to make each bag is below. I think my friends will enjoy them. 🙂
